DUNCAN BATHGATE

Duncan joined Exportise in 1994 after completing his law degree and practicing as a solicitor for 2 years. He has gained a deserved reputation as a professional consultant with a broad knowledge of exporting and the difficulties that exporters continually face.

The technical knowledge and ability to understand practical issues has resulted in Duncan having gained great respect from clients, and his advice has resulted in these clients gaining far better results in their export endeavours than they could have achieved otherwise. He has dealt with a wide range of clients and has particular knowledge of issues affecting owners of intellectual property rights, service suppliers, including tourism, manufacturers and export merchants. He is responsible for dealing with clients in the Wollongong area.

Duncan has been involved in advising exporters on a wide range of issues, including conducting seminars on GST for exporters, locating trade partners and international trade finance.

In addition to his role with Exportise Duncan is a member of Export Consultants Association Ltd/Austrade Technical Committee and has served as secretary to COPAC.
